About SAHAJ Team SAHAJ’s team members come from all walks of life, and have a willingness to strive for quality results.
Our team consists of full time as well as part time staff members, some who have been with SAHAJ for more than 15 years. Three Program Managers hold professional degrees and are experienced to lead teams comprising of individuals who have the potential to complement each other. Five Field Coordinators, (graduates and postgraduates) guide teams working in the communities.
Four Field Officers, with experience of working with communities, provide support to grass root cadres. Most Field Officers have grown with the organization - as children attending SAHAJ run Non Formal Education Centers, becoming adolescent peer leaders, then coordinating other peer leaders, and then graduating to become Field Officers. Others were Non Formal Educators and are now building capacities of the grass roots cadres – the Animators and Community Organizers.
The seven Animators and the two Community Organizers are local women from the communities with whom we work. Irrespective of their educational qualifications - ranging from Class 8th to graduates – they display exemplary skills while engaging with basti (community) level issues.
Team members have developed a gender and rights based perspective and use it in their day to day work. They are multitalented and hold multiple responsibilities executing them with great ease and confidence.
